The courtyard of this hotel is exceptionally beautiful, showcasing meticulous maintenance. The front desk staff speaks Chinese. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The only downside is that the food is not very tasty; surprisingly, there was bacon and eggs for breakfast. Hoping to temporarily step away from Western cuisine and indulge in authentic Japanese dishes, we ended up with cold pasta sauce resembling Italian cuisine. The food was disappointing, but the hotel itself is lovely.

This is a fairly upscale ryokan with a beautiful garden. The service is excellent and the rooms are fairly big and clean. The Japanese dinner was alright (I've certainly had better), the breakfast was very good. The onsen facilities are not top notch however. The male indoor bath is a huge dark hall full of mist and a giant bathtub, it doesn't feel super welcoming and comfortable. The male outdoor bath is annoyingly not connected to the indoor bath, so you have to go inside, shower, dry yourself, put your clothes back on, go through the common area to the outdoor bath. The bath itself is fine however. Overall this place is alright but I wonder if there is better value for your money elsewhere.

Came for the onsen experience in Hakone. The gardens and onsen did not disappoint, they were lovely. The staff was friendly, spoke english, and were helpful in assisting me with getting around the town of Hakone. Unfortunately, I stayed on a night when the restaurant was closed, so I did not get to eat on property. The hotel room was spacious, and traditional with tatami floors that were well maintained. The furniture in the rooms and the bathrooms could use an update.

My partner was looking for a place to have a drink after our dinner and I was in the mood for dessert so this was a perfect choice. We were not staying at the hotel so it was lovely that they are accepting walk-in guests without reservation. The staff were absolutely lovely and attentive and the yuzu cheesecake was delicious, not too sweet and light.

The place is well located, close to main street but not on it. Rooms are spacious and have a nice view. The Japanese garden is assume and pretty big. The only downside for us was the futon mattress which was worn out and only buckwheat pillow which is not easy to sleep with

This ryokan is well located, a short walk from the station. The room was clean, spacious overlooking the beautiful garden, and the traditional beds were comfortable. Onsen is available indoor and connects to the beautiful !! outdoor onsen. This was a great stay and we cant wait to come back! Thank you Yoshiike.

This is the most expencive accomidation ive stayed in in my life as a family. The experiance was amazing, the older japanese gentleman (ex manager) actually made our experiance that much more enjoyable (the younger japanese duty mamager was arrogant), such a nice man and spoke good English. The set menu for western kids can be challenging particularly if thier not seafood fans. The dinning is however truly amazing, the food is amazingly and plenty of it. The restaurant staff were very helpfull. The baths and the gardens are truely lovely , at the time of our stay tree felling was taking place in the gardens that did not effect our comfort. The location is a 6 minute walk slightly uphill from the station, walk up the back street and try dinning at the traditionally made noodle bar. The food was amazing and cheep there.

View from the room 406 One of the best places to stay while in Hakone. Located few mins away from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Staffs are accommodating . Made my quick stay in Hakone so relaxing and peaceful There is an onsen and also private bath which is good for those who are shy/ uncomfortable to go to Onsen. The garden and mountain view is my fav part of this ryokan. Will be back. Highly recommended
